Honestly location, location, location! This cute little spot is nestled at the end of the pier, and has indoor and outdoor seating. We came on a Wednesday, midday- no rain and it was absolutely perfect! The service is quick, staff is friendly and inviting. Feels like home when they greet you. The lunch menu isn't large but has some great options, a lot of fried options. Definitely not your first stop for those New Year's resolutions. We ordered a kids fish and chips, a bowl of clam chowder, and the large prawns and chips platter. The fish and chips were delicious, crispy, flavorful and fresh. The shrimp was large and scrumptious- the tartar sauce was fresh and really added a great flavor to the fried items. Opted for sweet potato fries and those were equally as delicious. I wasn't a fan of the clam chowder- something was off. It wasn't curdled or spoiled. It just tasted sweet with a very thick and clumpy consistency. Took two bites and couldn't do anymore. Our waitress seemed offended when I told her I didn't care for it. She said she's only had two people in her 17 years not like it. So maybe it was just me, or an off day- but it wasn't good. Overall I'd go back for a quick bite, beautiful view and friendly staff!

A local recommended we come try this place out for their clam chowder and I'm glad we did! This place was by far the best Clam Chowder! The server recommended to have it with the Pepper Plant Sauce and it elevated the flavor even more! It was a burst of flavor in my mouth and now I'm looking forward for the next time I go back here when I'm in Capitola! Service was fast because it was a Monday morning which was a plus for us and we got a table outside with a good view by the beach.

This place is the perfect dive seafood place! If you want fancy, don't eat here and give it a bad review because of seating or whatever. But... if you want legit shrimp and onion rings, chowder, or fish & chips, with a non-touristy pier atmosphere and an old school bar, this is your place! Service was great (Ashley I think was our server - she was busy but caught every detail!). Will go again when we're back. Of the many meals and some at "really nice" places, this was our favorite meal of the week.

This place is so good! We were craving clam chowder and decided to drive up to the beach to have it. This place is literally on the boardwalk. There was live music on the day we went, it was so nice! Our waiter was so friendly. My husband got the clam chowder in the bread bowl and I decided to go with just the bowl. Our food came out fast and I even got a warm roll to go with my bowl which was actually so nice since I did regret not getting a bread bowl. The chowder itself was pretty flavorful although I did add some salt and pepper for my taste.
